My Classroom 2015

So I am back in my old home with a new partner this year. She is kind enough to indulge my need for organization and let me do my thing in our room. Life is good!

Here are a few pictures of my new, "old" room.

 Teacher Work Station

Storage for Office Supplies

Storage for Weekly Activities

Since together, we have 60 students, these tubs have to be extra large! I added polka dot sticky labels just for fun!

Our aides each have their own work station/storage area.

The student work wall is now behind the teacher table.

A close up of the teacher bookcase.

Here is our reading corner.

We bought matching storage carts to organize our guided reading group supplies.

Guided Reading Book Storage

Some close-ups showing how these are labeled and organized.

Quick edit to the classroom rules sign...thank goodness chalkboard markers are not permanent!

Activity tubs and math manipulative storage. Even in a big room, things can get cramped!

Calendar Wall

We dyed tongue depressors two different colors so we each have a set of name sticks.

Birthday wall set up for two classes. (A freebie made by Randi!

Filing baskets for student work and flashcards.

 Accelerated Reader book shelf.

AR books have a library pocket inside with a card. We each have a box of cards with a pocket for each student in our class. When a student checks out a book, the card is placed in their pocket until it is returned.

Student book boxes (they are mini!) and book tubs for early finishers.

We have four tables with primary colored supplies.

I know....even the scissors match. LOL!

My favorite find is these soap boxes for crayon storage.

I found them at Walmart and they come in all the primary colors!

We have four primary colored tubs. When our center helpers come, it is easy for them to identify the tub that they will use with their center group that day.

Hope you like this little sneak peak of my new "old" room. I'll post some more detail pictures later!
